Hello Everyone, I have finally got caught up on posting on this blog. I’ve posted 3 posts so far today, so be sure to check the other 2 below this one. Anyways, they had school spirit week and one day was crazy hair day. I had fun doing Beau’s hair all spires-like, and he felt pretty cool at school. I’m glad that he was pleased with it. Also pictured is Bryan, who was messing up his hair and gotee and looked like some homeless bum I picked up off the street, or like some wild cave man. Pretty Scary! I’ve always told Bryan that he never has any bad hair days!
A great yearning in my heart has been eased. I feel so blessed to have a part of my life back and that is my dogs. I love Alaskan Malamutes soooo much. I have missed them these last several years. While I wasn’t looking for it, this blessing kind of fell into my lap. What I didn’t think possible has been made possible. I feel so loved by my Father in Heaven for this great gift. Our long time family friends at Joshua Kennels in Los Angeles called me up and asked if we wanted a dog. Things just worked out and fell into place for us to have Boomer in our home. Thank you again Cindy and Christy for Boomer. Here are some pictures on my drive down to Nor. Cal to pick him up and bringing him home. My mom drove me in her truck and we brought Kai along too. It was a short trip, just overnight, but we had fun. We had a quick hello from some of my in-laws and they got to meet our dog even before my own family. Welcome home Boomer! We love you!
Here are some just random pictures of late. Boomer likes to sleep in our room. He found a pillow that fell off the bed to sleep on. One night I was away and everyone was playing with the dog and he got a little too playful and accidentally knocked Kai into the corner of Bryan’s desk and he got a rather wide bump on his head and he did seriously look like a klingon. It was pretty funny looking, but he’s okay. Boomer likes to pick up toys around the house. He likes Buzz lightyear because it talks and makes funny noises. I had to take a picture of him sleeping on top of Buzz, looks like Buzz is trying to lift Boomer off of him. Not this time Buzz Lightyear!
Skateparks have become a little more funner for me now. I have Boomer to keep me company. We went out to Hood River. They have a nice skatepark and playarea too. I don’t mind coming here. The kids have a lot of fun too.
We hope you enjoyed the update. Have a lovely Memorial Day! God Bless those men and women who serve and have served our country and freedoms!

Family Portraits
May 24th, 2009 by Leslie · No Comments
Last year as a baby gift from Bryan’s friend, Kris and Point A Studios, we got a gift certificate to Sears Portraits. We put it off for a long time and it was almost too late to use it. Thankfully we finally got around to using them. Here’s they are: of course the web images aren’t very good, cuz they just want to give you a sample to order them if you want to from them. That’s fine with me, we’ll have the real ones hanging up in our house. Thank you Kris & Brenda and family for this gift. It was fun. Love, The Podwys’ For one of me and Sarya visit my personal blog, LAMP.

The Princess & the Party
May 24th, 2009 by Leslie · No Comments
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. Her name was Sarya. In her castle, she only had brothers. They didn’t care to play with princesses. They only wanted to play superheros. So of course she would always try to find a role in their Batman, Spiderman, Superman, Link, and other adventurous games. But alas, she desired something more. One day, a call came to the castle from Queen Jennie and Princess Abby and Rylie inviting Sarya to join them at a Princess Party. Only princesses could come to the party, NO SUPERHEROS! Princess Sarya was so excited and couldn’t wait for the party. On the day of the party, she awoke especially early, to bathe and dress and the Queen helped her do her hair most royally. She was ready for the ball! While she awaited for her cousins to pick her up in the coach she tended her beautiful flowers. Finally, the coach arrived and took Princess Sarya and her cousins to the Princess Party. There, each princess was escorted to a seat after being announced of course. Princess Sarya had so much fun. She was an honored guest and got to sit with the Queen of all the land for breakfast, she danced with Snow White, and listened to princess stories. But soon the party was over and she had to return home. She will always remember the fun party!

Kai’s Birthday
April 26th, 2009 by Leslie · No Comments
We had Kai’s birthday a few weeks ago. I’m just now getting around to posting them though.
I had scheduled his 1 year check-up appointment on his birthday, and then I realized that it might not be the best thing to do for his birthday. I didn’t re-schedule because it’s hard to get an appointment with our Doctor these days since he is getting pretty busy. It went fairly well. Sarya and Dante came with us. Sarya had to get a shot and Kai had to get 4 shots! It was so sweet, after Sarya got her shot, Dante told the nurse that she could give him Kai’s shots. Sarya did great with her shot and she said to the nurse, “Thankyou for my shot,” and gave her a hug! The nurse was like, “Did you just say thank you?” Funny girl! She is pictured below with her bandaid. Kai only cried for a few seconds after all his shots and by the end of the day he forgot about the whole ordeal.
The boys and I made cupcakes for Kai. He had fun eating them too. He liked all his presents and thankyou everyone.
Thank you Oma & Opa for my car! Thank you everyone for the presents!

A little bit of Fresh Air
February 25th, 2009 by Leslie · No Comments
After a week of stomach flu, we got caught up on cleaning our house on Saturday and then our friends called us and wanted to know if we wanted to go to the beach and lunch, and so I packed up the kids and off we went. Bryan was sick at home still. So nice to get out a get some fresh air.
Even though it was overcast a little, it was still very beautiful and peaceful. Oceanside is a nice little beach town.
After playing for a little on the beach, we went and had lunch at Roseanna’s Cafe. They have a nice view of the ocean and have one of the best cups of clam chowder. Then ofcourse we had to stop at Tillamook Creamery to get a scoop or two of Tillamook Ice Cream.

Bake me a Cake!
February 12th, 2009 by Leslie · 2 Comments
Kai takes his work very seriously. Today he heard me talking on the phone to my sister- in-law Jennie, asking her if she needed a cake for her birthday tomorrow! So he got to work right away. Lucky for him, someone left the pantry door open so he could grab the cake flour! He poured it out, measuring precise fist fulls. Then carefully mixed all the ingredients including a bag of brown sugar. He even had Dante test taste the batter. Then headed over to the oven to bake the perfect white Kai cake!
And Voila! The perfect White Kai Cake. Home baked and hand made just by Kai. You can get Kai Kreations at podwys.com.
100% All Natural! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT JENNIE!!!!
